Abstract:
Dr. Jonathan Clark, clinical professor of neurology and space medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, will discuss several extravehicular activity hazards during planetary surface operations. The presentation will include several lessons learned during the Apollo lunar missions and future challenges such as the physiological effect of weightlessness, metabolic expenditure, thermal loading, traverse issues, lunar dust, and radiation.
